These “XYN” Terms of Paid Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of certain paid services provided under the “XYN” brand and any other services separately designated by Sony Electronics Inc. (“Sony,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), together with the related hardware technologies (collectively, the “Services,” and individually, the “Service”), as well as to your purchase and consumption of prepaid digital usage unit(s) within the Service (“Token(s)”), all of which are provided by Sony.
By subscribing to any Services plan designated by Sony (the “Plan”), or by purchasing or consuming Tokens, you (“Customer” or “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use any Services and/or Tokens. For the avoidance of doubt, you may use certain service(s) provided via XYN HOME or other platform designated by Sony (collectively, “XYN Platform”) that are provided free of charge, if any, without consuming any Tokens, and these Terms shall not apply to such free services.
Via the XYN Platform, Sony provides access to the Services. The Services may involve the use of Sony software or hardware components, as applicable. The types and content of Services available to Customer may vary depending on the Plan. The current details of the Plans are available here, which Sony may change at any time at its discretion. Such change will take effect upon the next renewal date of your subscribed Plan. If you do not agree, you may cancel the subscription of the Plan before such renewal date.
The use of certain Service requires Tokens, the details of which are set forth in Section 5.
All Services are licensed, not sold. Upon purchasing a subscription to any Plan, you are obtaining a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to access and use the Services in accordance with the applicable Plan and these Terms.
You must have full legal capacity to enter into these Terms. You represent and warrant that you are not prohibited from using the Services by any applicable law.
Account Registration: You will create a unique account (“Account”) through which Tokens will be purchased and consumed. The use of an Account by you shall be subject to “XYN” Terms of Service(“Main ToS”). All Customers who create an Account will automatically have access to the free plan (“Free Plan”); please refer here for further details.
Plan Subscription Term: Upon purchasing a subscription to any Plan, the specific Services corresponding to the selected Plan will become available, and a fixed amount of Tokens will be granted, as of the date of such purchase. A Plan subscription may be purchased on a monthly or semi-annual basis. In the case of a monthly subscription, a fixed amount of Tokens will be granted every one (1) month calculated from the date of purchase, and in the case of a semi-annual subscription, a fixed amount of Tokens will be granted every six (6) months calculated from the date of purchase. The available Services and the amount of Tokens granted per cycle vary by Plan; please refer here for further details.
For example, if you commence a semi-annual subscription to a paid Plan comprising 60,000 Tokens per every six (6) months, “Service X,” and “Service Y” on December 15, 2026, then, as of that date, both “Service X” and “Service Y” will become available to you and 60,000 Tokens will be granted. Unless you cancel the automatic renewal of such Plan by June 14, 2027 in accordance with Section 4(c) below, such Plan will be automatically renewed on June 15, 2027, and a new grant of 60,000 Tokens will be made on the same date.
Automatic Renewal of Plan Subscription and Cancellation of Such Renewal: All Plans will be automatically renewed unless you cancel the subscription before the renewal date. You may cancel the automatic renewal at any time without any penalty through the “Plans” page within the account settings on XYN HOME, in which case the applicable Plan will terminate at the end of the subscription period in which such cancellation occurs. Any remaining Tokens granted through the former Plan will continue to be available until their respective expiration dates. A subscription to a different Plan may be purchased as of the day following the termination date of the applicable Plan.
For example, if you commence a semi-annual subscription to paid “Plan A” on December 15, 2026, “Plan A” will become available to you as of the same date. If you cancel “Plan A” on November 1, 2027, you may continue to use “Plan A” through December 14, 2027, and will revert to the Free Plan as of December 15, 2027, at which point you may also purchase “Plan B.” Remaining Tokens from “Plan A,” if any, will continue to be available until their respective expiration dates.
Switching Plans: You may switch Plans at any time through the “Plans” page within the account settings on XYN HOME. If you switch Plans, the new Plan will become available as of the date of such switching, and the former Plan will terminate at the end of the subscription period in which such switching occurs. Any remaining Tokens granted through the former Plan will continue to be available until their respective expiration dates. For the avoidance of doubt, Customer may not subscribe to multiple Plans simultaneously under a single Account.
For example, if you commence a monthly subscription to “Plan C” (comprising 5,000 Tokens per month, “Service X,” and “Service Y”) on December 15, 2026, and switch to a semi-annual subscription to “Plan D” (comprising 60,000 Tokens per semi-annual period, “Service V,” “Service W,” “Service Y,” and “Service Z”) on April 1, 2027:
the new 60,000 Tokens, “Service V,” “Service W,” and “Service Z” will become available as of April 1, 2027;
“Service X” will remain available through April 14, 2027;
“Service Y” will continue to be available; and
remaining Tokens from “Plan C,” if any, will continue to be available until their respective expiration dates.
One-time Purchase of Tokens: You may also purchase Tokens in fixed unit quantities, which will become available as of the purchasing date. The price required for purchase varies by Plan; please refer here for further details.
Token Consumption: Tokens are consumed when outputs are generated through the use of certain parts of the Services designated by Sony from time to time, and are also consumed in order to enable the use of the Services or certain features thereof designated by Sony from time to time. Since the amount of Tokens consumed varies depending on the volume of computation required for data processing and the pricing in effect from time to time, please refer to the notice displayed immediately prior to processing for the specific number of Tokens to be consumed.
Expiration: All Tokens, including Tokens granted under a Plan pursuant to Section 4(b) and Tokens purchased on a one-time basis pursuant to Section 4(e), expire six (6) months after the date on which such Tokens are granted or otherwise made available to your Account, regardless of usage.
Accumulation and Order of Consumption of Tokens: Unused Tokens accumulate across each grant and billing cycle and remain available until their respective expiration dates as set forth in Section 5(b). Where you hold multiple Tokens with different expiration dates (including any combination of Tokens granted under a Plan and Tokens purchased on a one-time basis under Section 4(e)), Tokens will be consumed in order of their expiration dates, with the Tokens expiring earliest being consumed first (“first-expiring, first-consumed”). Tokens that reach their expiration date without being consumed will expire in accordance with Section 5(b), and no refund, extension, or credit will be provided for such expired Tokens.
No Cash Value: Tokens have no monetary, cash, or intrinsic value. Tokens are not and do not represent: (a) fiat currency, (b) cryptocurrency, (c) legal tender, or (d) any cash equivalent. Tokens cannot be redeemed for cash, credit, refund, or any other item of value.
License Nature: When you purchase Tokens, you are not purchasing property, currency, or a cash equivalent. You are purchasing a limited, revocable license to use the Services, subject to these Terms. Tokens do not grant ownership rights in Sony, the Services, or any related intellectual property.
Non-Transferability: Tokens cannot be sold, mortgaged, hypothecated, traded, assigned, or transferred whatsoever, including without limitation to another user or Account. Any attempted transfer or resale of Tokens is void and may result in termination of access to the Services.
Usage Limits & Modification: Sony reserves the right to limit Token usage, change Token pricing or consumption rates, or alter the Token model entirely at any time without prior notice.
No Guarantee of Future Value or Functionality: Sony does not guarantee that any particular number of Tokens will correspond to a fixed level of access, performance, or functionality in the future.
Tokens Infrastructure: Tokens are purchased, stored, and consumed in the Sony-designated system. You acknowledge that Sony may modify the interface or Token‐consumption mechanism at any time without prior notice. You bear all risk of loss, error, or inability to access Tokens due to Account credential loss, etc.
Payment: All payments must be made in advance via Sony accepted payment methods.
Pre-payment Nature: Your purchase of Tokens constitutes a pre-payment for the provision of the Services under the terms herein.
Refunds: Tokens and subscription fees are non-refundable, except as required by law. Failure to use Tokens, cancellation or non-renewal of a subscription, or abandonment of your Account or Tokens does not entitle you to a refund, extension, reinstatement, or credit of any kind. All Tokens and subscriptions expire automatically at the end of their designated term, regardless of usage.
Taxes: Customers are responsible for all applicable taxes, duties, or fees.
Certain Services may involve interaction with Sony hardware. Such use is governed by these Terms and any additional hardware terms provided.
Termination by Customer: You may delete your Account at any time.
Termination by Sony: Sony may suspend or terminate Customer access or delete Customer’s Account if Customer breaches these Terms or the Main ToS, misuses the Services, or engages in prohibited conduct.
Effect of Termination: Notwithstanding Sections 5(b) and 5(c), upon termination under this Section 8, access to Tokens and Services will cease, and unused Tokens will expire immediately.
Tokens Disclaimer: You acknowledge and agree that Tokens are a consumable digital licensing mechanism only. Tokens do not represent stored value, deposits, securities, or investments. Sony disclaims all responsibility for any perceived or asserted financial value of Tokens.
Force Majeure: Sony shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance of the Services or Tokens due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, civil unrest, internet or telecommunications failures, hacking, breaches, power failures, or other technological or natural events.
Relationship with the Main ToS: These Terms constitute Additional Rules under, and supplement, the Main ToS. Any matter not expressly addressed in these Terms shall be governed by the Main ToS, including without limitation the provisions concerning governing law, dispute resolution and binding arbitration, limitation of liability, and amendment. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Main ToS with respect to matters expressly addressed in these Terms, these Terms shall prevail; in all other respects, the Main ToS shall apply.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Notice: Sony may provide notice of changes to these Terms by posting on the website or within the Service. Your continued use of the Services or Tokens following any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
